Marvelous Max might have been small in stature but as his blog says, he was definitely big in spirit.

We were sad we didn’t get to know him longer, especially because we wanted to see him model these great post-op t-shirts that his Mom was working on during his recovery.

If you are crafty and looking for a way to cover up your Tripawd’s surgical incision, here’s a great front leg amputee shirt pattern PDF his mom came up with and shared in our Discussion Forums.

What about Rear-Leg Amputees?

Everypawdy always wonders how to cover up incisions on rear-leg amputees. Finally, we think we found the best idea thanks to this great “onesie” idea Max’s mom created.

Follow her step-by-step instructions here.

If you make these t-shirts, be sure to let us know below.

Many thanks to Spirit Max’s Mom’s for these great ideas.

Max, we miss you.

So glad that I can help fellow tripawds look stylish and stay comfortable during their recovery!!
If anyone needs one of these but doesn’t have access to a sewing machine, I’m more than happy to custom-make them, just leave a blog comment or send a forum PM :)

What a beautiful photo of Max in his post-op shirt! It brought such a smile to my face…and then my eyes welled up with tears
    :-( You are missed Max!

Such a great idea and heartfelt generosity from Marvelous Max’s Mom!

A++++ for your pattern! I’ve been using t-shirts from the second hand store, sewing fleece on the inside for comfort and denim on the outside for those occasional falls but the shirts don’t always quite work. I will for sure be using this pattern. Can’t thank you enough for sharing!! :)
